It looks like Markieff Morris finally got the trade out of Phoenix he's wanted.
The Washington Wizards traded forward Kris Humphries, center DeJuan Blair and a first-round pick (top 9 protected) to the Suns for Morris, according to multiple media sources.
Morris, who was drafted in the first round by Phoenix in 2011, averaged 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 31.5 minutes a game. This year, those numbers have dropped to 11.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 24.8 minutes a game.
The move to Washington could provide Morris with a fresh start. Seems like he might need one.
He tweeted his desire to be traded upon multiple occasions after Phoenix dealt his twin brother, Marcus, to Detroit during the off-season. Morris was suspended two games after throwing a towel at then-Suns coach Jeff Hornacek in November.
Morris also shoved Phoenix teammate Archie Goodwin during a timeout earlier this month.
