Lois Abbingh wonders who the Dutch handbalsters must stop at the World Championships in Denmark.
"We glow with confidence," said the top scorer after Orange won 36-20 with Serbia and therefore reached the quarterfinals.
"We were already well in the tournament to finish first in the group, but I got it myself amazed at how easily we walked across Serbia. On the other hand, we've also enforced all by myself."
Abbingh plays her third World Cup. In Brazil (2011) and Serbia (2013), she was off with Dutch team in the quarter finals. "But I have the feeling that we are a lot further. The other tournament was the difficulty in the preliminary round, but now it's so easy. This I have not seen before."
"The good thing is that everyone has his share in the victory. Almost all players take their goals with," said the player of the Romanian Baia Mare, on Sunday against Serbia scored six times.
Blood Shape
National coach Henk Groener had also enjoyed his team. "We dominated the match from the beginning and Serbia have not come to pass. The team was knocked out in great shape and everything."
Keep Star Tess Wester again played an important role in Oranje, but they complimented especially after her teammates. "The defense functioned great. That makes it easier for me."
The Netherlands takes the Wednesday in the quarterfinals against France or Spain. Those two teams will play their eighth finals Monday in Kolding.
